Good to Know Before You Print
Lithophanes rely on fine layer detail, so smaller nozzles (0.2mm or 0.4mm) and lower layer heights (0.08–0.12mm) give the best image clarity, check Bambu's CMYK Lithophane Printing Guide on the Wiki for settings and STL generation. Keep bed temperature around 45–50°C to prevent warping, and note that print-layer resolution means some color deviation from the source image is normal. The bundle includes filament only, no backlight hardware. For full-spectrum color mixing on general models (not just lithophanes), a multi-toolhead machine like the SnapMaker U1, H2C, H2D or H2D is recommended. On a single-nozzle AMS setup, every color swap purges the previous filament out of the nozzle, which can eat up 15–25% of your filament and print time on color-dense prints. A dual-nozzle or hotend-swapping system cuts that purge waste dramatically, making frequent CMYK color blending far more practical and efficient across a full model rather than just a backlit panel.
