The Conductive Rubber Cord Stretch Sensor Kit is a resistive elongation sensor designed for measuring stretch and motion through resistance variation. It uses a 2 mm carbon-black impregnated rubber cord with a nominal resistance of 350 ohms per inch in the relaxed state. The resistance increases as the cord is stretched, supporting up to 50–70% elongation with repeatable non-linear response characteristics. The kit includes a 1 m conductive cord, two alligator clips, and a 10K ohm resistor for simple voltage divider integration. Suitable for wearable systems, motion detection prototypes, and interactive mechanical sensing applications.
