Description
The 7448 is a TTL logic integrated circuit designed to convert 4-bit Binary-Coded Decimal (BCD) inputs into control signals for common-cathode 7-segment displays. It translates BCD values into the corresponding segment outputs for displaying decimal digits 0–9. Unlike the 7447, the 7448 provides active-high totem-pole outputs, making it suitable for directly driving common-cathode displays. Operating on a standard 5V TTL supply, it is widely used in counters, clocks, measurement instruments, and digital display systems.
Features
- Converts 4-bit BCD input to 7-segment display outputs
- Designed for common-cathode 7-segment displays
