Soil moisture sensor allows you to plan watering flowers or a small garden. Works in home conditions. In our opinion, any Maker who think about automating the watering system for home flowers should have it.

The principle of this type of sensors is very simple. The capacitance of the electrodes on PCB inserted into the soil changes with the amount of water. Unlike resistance sensors, capacitive sensors do not corrode, which is an undoubted advantage.

The capacitive soil moisture sensor is supplied with 3.3 to 5.5V. At the output you get an analog signal (voltage)

The product includes an on-board voltage regulator that gives it a 3.3 ~ 5.5V operating voltage range. It is compatible with low-voltage MCUs (both 3.3V and 5V logic). to make it compatible with a Raspberry Pi, an ADC converter is required. This sensor is compatible with our 3-pin "Gravity" interface, which means it can be connected directly to the Gravity I / O expansion shield.

    • Supply voltage: 3.3 - 5.5V DC
    • Output voltage: 0 - 3.0V DC
    • Interface: XH2.54-3P
    • Sensor size: 99 x 23 mm
    • Cable length: 21 cm (including connectors)
